Apple has announced at WWDC that it will be giving developers access to Siri’s voice functionality, which they can use on their apps.

Apple gave an example of how this new functionality could be used by sending a “WeChat to say you’ll be five minutes late.”

Apple’s SVP Craig Federighi, listed examples where users can call up app services via Siri, such as Slack, WhatsApp, Uber, Lyft, making payments using Venmo, keeping up with workouts using Runkeeper, using Skype or Viber, and so much more.
